Benteng Kuto Besak Palembang

Benteng Kuto Besak Palembang (BKB) is a historical place in Palembang City, South Sumatra.

This BKB is located in 19 Ilir, Bukit Kecil, Palembang City and is located on the banks of the Musi River.

The process to build this BKB itself took approximately 17 years.

This palace was officially occupied on Monday, February 21, 1797.

One of the assets located on the banks of the Musi River, namely the Kuto Besak Fort (BKB) has not yet been fully utilized to be enjoyed by the public as a tourist spot and performing arts and culture.

If the area within the BKB can be used fully for tourism, it can be arranged as a place of entertainment or performing arts and culture.

Fort Kuto Besa itself has a large pantung in the form of a belida fish which is one of the characteristics of the city of Palembang, besides that there is also a beautiful fountain facility.

Usually in the evening towards the evening the Kuto Besak fort is enlivened by traders selling various kinds of food and knick-knacks such as clothes and there are also some games for rent.

In addition, there is also the Sultan Mahmud Badarudin Museum which is one of the historical places and there is also an information center for tourists who come or visit BKB

The truth is, we all face hardships of some kind, and you never know the struggles a person is going through. Behind every smile, there’s a story of a personal struggle. – Adrienne C. Moore
