Kinds of takjil in Ramadhan

In this blog I will invite you to see what takjil in my city are often in demand in the month of Ramadhan

1. Fruit Soup



Usually this fruit ice is always there as the most popular menu during Ramadhan. the good taste makes our iftar fresher. Usually the contents of this ice are various kinds of fruit such as pineapple, orange, apple, dragon fruit and many others.


2. Dawet Ice



One type of ice is also very popular during Ramadhan. Dawet is a typical Javanese drink made from rice flour or glutinous rice flour, served with grated ice and liquid brown sugar and coconut milk. The taste of this drink is sweet and savory.


3. Coconut ice



Young coconut ice or es dogan is a refreshing thirst-quenching drink made from meat and young coconut water. Young coconut ice is a drink originating from Indonesia which is much favored by people both on weekdays and during Ramadhan.


4. Mix blend ice



Es campur is one of the typical Indonesian drinks which is made by mixing various types of ingredients in a sweet syrup. The ingredients used usually taste sweet or sour. Usually this is also very sought after and in demand during the month of Ramadhan like this.



5. pumpkin compote



This food is in great demand during the month of Ramadhan because of its distinctive taste. Pumpkin compote is made from pieces of pumpkin, coconut milk, sugar, and various spices that can add aroma and taste to the dish. You can also cook pumpkin compote with additional ingredients for other compotes such as fro.


6. banana compote



Just like pumpkin compote, banana compote is also very popular when entering the month of Ramadhan.


7. Bolu Kojo



One type of this cake is also very popular during Ramadhan. Bolu Kojo is a typical food from the South Sumatra region. Kojo means chemojo or frangipani because the shape of the pan resembles a frangipani flower. Even though the name means frangipani flower, the sponge cake is still made from flour and does not use frangipani flowers at all.


8. Rujak Mie



Rujak Mie also looks like processed pempek. This rujak processed food is a combination of Chinese and Malay ethnic cuisine. The ingredients are wet egg noodles, vermicelli noodles, sliced thyme, ebi, tofu, and fried pempek. The ingredients are then doused with the typical Palembang cuko. It is also often served during Ramadhan, which is one of the most popular menus for Palembang people.


9. Kue Srikaya 



Its texture is soft, moist and has a sticky and sweet taste, making it very suitable to eat when breaking the fast. Kue srikaya, an option for breaking the fast in Palembang.

During the month of Ramadhan like this, srikaya is also a popular cake found in Palembang.Srikayo served with sticky rice. In the past, srikaya was placed in a kind of small bowl, while sticky rice was shaped like a diamond square.


10. Cantaloupe Ice



Now the last one is ice cantaloupe. When fasting in hot weather like this afternoon, it will be very relieved when we drink a glass of cantaloupe ice as takjil for breaking the fast. In addition, cantaloupe ice is also believed to increase stamina and restore energy body lost after fasting for a full day. In addition to young coconut, cantaloupe is indeed one of the typical fruits of Ramadhan which is widely hunted as an iftar meal.
